A message from Sverre Varvin, chair of the Programme Committee
Analyst and patient alike face psychic pain in the clinical experience. How do such encounters in the consulting room inform the ways we develop psychoanalytic theory, and on a more fundamental level, the very groundwork of our knowledge? To investigate such questions we have entitled the IPA 2013 Congress “Facing the Pain: Clinical Experience and the Development of Psychoanalytic Knowledge”.
We welcome your Congress proposals which can be uploaded to the IPA website before the 7 September 2012 deadline by clicking here. Proposals received after the deadline cannot be considered.
The 48th IPA Congress will run from 31 July to 3 August 2013, with pre-Congress activities starting on 30 July.
